How Do I Find Business Incentives for Job Training and Internships?

The Iowa Industrial New Jobs Training Program (260E) assists businesses creating new positions with new employee training for those workers. Eligible businesses may be new to Iowa, expanding an Iowa workforce, or relocating to the state.

The Iowa Jobs Training Program (260F) provides job training services to current employees of eligible businesses. Eligible businesses work with the local community college, which will assess training needs, determine funds available, and provide training.

The Accelerated Career Education Program (ACE, 260G) is designed to provide businesses with an enhanced, skilled workforce. The program assists Iowa’s community colleges to either establish or expand programs that train individuals in the occupations most needed by Iowa businesses.

Iowa Workforce Development also provides grants through Future Ready Iowa to support Summer Youth Internship programs. Eligible programs for support include internships that help at-risk youth build key workforce skills, especially in high-demand career fields.  Learn more about the Summer Youth Internship grants.
