Jeffrey W. Henderson


     Jeffrey W. Henderson has been associate superintendent of the Archdiocese of Dubuque Educational System since 2004 and was appointed to the Board of Educational Examiners in 2005. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education and Driver Education from the University of Dubuque and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from the University of Iowa, where he is currently a candidate for a Specialist in Education degree. A native of Iowa, he has been an education professional for 25 years. Following service as a public school teacher for 10 years (2 in Oklahoma and 8 in Iowa), he has spent the balance of his career as an administrator with Archdiocese of Dubuque schools. He has participated in numerous civic and educational activities and conferences. Included among his honors are Belle Plaine, Iowa, Teacher of the Year (1990); Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (1989); Close Up Make a Difference Award (1987 and 1989); and state nominee for National Catholic Principal of the Year (1998, 2001, 2002 and 2003).
