Ying Ying Chen
Ying Ying Chen is the Executive Director of Instructional Services in the College Community School District and has been a board member since 2001. She has a Bachelor of Education degree from the National Taiwan Normal University and a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Akron. She was a teacher in Texas and Wisconsin for 5 years and district curriculum and instructional supervisor in Milwaukee for 7 years. She served as an elementary principal in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for 3 years and in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for 11 years prior to her current position. Her distinctions include representative of Iowa administrators at the First National Principal Summit in Washington, D.C. (2000), AEA 10 Regional Elementary Principal of the Year (2001), and Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award (2002).
