First Friday of every month. August 7 - 8: Iowa Association of the Deaf Conference located at Best Western Regency Inn, Marshalltown. August 8: 7:30 p.m. Iowa Association of the Deaf Conference announced the banquet keynote speaker, Dr. Ronald Sutcliffe, a graduate of Iowa School for the Deaf 1958. He'll be speaking at the Best Western Regency Inn in Marshalltown. August 15: 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Deaf Services Commission of Iowa Commission Meeting located at Altoona Public Library, 700 - 8th Street, Altoona. August 15: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cedar Rapids Association of the Deaf is hosting a Summer Pic- nic at Sugar Bottom Recreation Area Shelter #39. There will be games and beach dinner at 6 p.m. Bring 1-2 dishes to share. Hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided. Admission is free, if you bring a dish. If you don’t bring a dish, it’s $5 donation.
