Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)

Individuals convicted of driving under the influence are required to meet specific requirements before they are able to have their license reinstated.  The Department of Education is responsible for ensuring the drivers complete a mandatory 12-hour educational course and pay a fee. 

Mine Safety & Health Administration

The Iowa Department of Education administers a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), which provides funds for training and services delivered to mine owners/operators/contractors in the state of Iowa.
