The State of Iowa requires that community college arts & sciences and career & technical faculty meet certain criteria for teaching in The Community Colleges of Iowa.  The following documents set forth the criteria necessary for teaching and guidelines for professional development.

 

Quality Faculty Plans Quality Faculty Plans
Each college's Quality Faculty Plan (QFP) addresses eight specific criteria dealing with implementation schedules, administrative procedures, and intended outcomes.

 

Minimum Faculty Standards Minimum Faculty Standards
Community college instructors teaching full-time in career and technical education and arts and sciences must meet minimum standards, as specified in Iowa Acts, Chapter 1047, Section 8.
