Iowa Department of Education

Personnel from the Iowa Department of Education (DE) and the Office of the State Auditor recently met to prepare a guidance document to school districts regarding usage of student activity funds, including fundraising by members of student activity groups. School districts and school auditors had questioned the proper use of funds raised by student members of groups such as FFA, FCCLA, DECA, etc.  The guidance piece is available on the DE website at http://www.iowa.gov/educate/content/view/1410/1591/ .
