The State of Iowa, Department of Education, is
soliciting proposals for the following services. Refer to the links
for deadlines, special requirements, and contact information. The agency will make every effort to keep
the information timely and accurate. This section provides information on the Department of Education's data collections including important dates, the types of data collected, and an explanation of the each data collection, and offers links to reports that use the data. Data collections noted in this section include the Basic Educational Data Survey (BEDS), Career and Technical Education (CTE), Certified Enrollment, Kindergarten Assessment, Mentoring and Induction, Project EASIER, and the State Student ID System. This section presents the data collected by the Department in various formats. While most of the data are presented in excel spreadsheets that users can download for their own analysis, maps and written reports are also included. Topics covered include (but are not limited to) enrollment, free and reduced meal eligibility, limited English students, and technology. Data may also be accessed by clicking on the Data & Statistics Quick Link and navigating to the type of data. Additional data may be requested by contacting the Bureau of Planning, Research and Evaluation at (515)-281-4837. Grants available through the Iowa Department of Education. This section includes documents that show allocations by district or area education agencies (AEA) for selected state or federal funding paid from the Department of Education. Also in this section is the schedule of regular payments of state aid to districts and AEAs. This section includes links to documents and websites relevant to construction and maintenance of buildings and grounds. This section also includes information on school infrastructure grants. This section provides links to reports, documents, spreadsheets, and websites pertaining to financial issues and responsibilities of school districts and area education agencies. The Uniform Financial Accounting manual is available in this section. This section provides links to publications and documents related to business operating procedures in school district and area education agencies. The Uniform Administrative Procedures manuals are available in this section. One manual is specific to school districts and the other to area education agencies (AEA). |
