The Shared Visions Preschool programs provide quality child development programs for high-risk children in 51 Iowa counties. The preschool programs serve children ages three to five and are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Legal Requirements and ReportsIowa Code section 256A and the rules in 281--Iowa Administrative Code 64 govern the preschool programs. In addition, Shared Visions Preschool programs are required to report to the department annually. http://www.iowa.gov/educate/content/view/635/601/1/1/ Advisory GroupThe Child Development Coordinating Council (CDCC) advises and assists the Department of Education regarding the administration and implementation of two state funded at risk programs for children ages birth to five; the Shared Visions Parent Support Program and the Shared Visions Preschool Program. The CDCC conducts meetings on the third Wednesday each alternating month of January, March, May, July, September, and November in Des Moines. Council meetings are open to the public.
