Open Enrollment is the process by which parents/guardians residing in an
Iowa district may enroll their children into another Iowa school district under
the terms and conditions of Iowa Code section 282.18 and the administrative
rules of the Iowa Department of Education, 281 Iowa Administrative Code Chapter
17. 2008-2009 Open Enrollment
Notice to districts with desegregation plans: The 2008-09 Open Enrollment Application and Handbook may be modified following a review of the recent Supreme Court decision regarding educational policies related to race.
