The 2007 Iowa Legislature adopted a new law that requires school districts to have anti-harassment and anti-bullying policies. The Iowa Department of Education (DE) and the Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) have provided a sample policy that addresses the requirements in the new legislation. Please note that the sample policy is just that – a sample. It is recommended that school districts consult their legal counsel in developing local policies.
