Iowa Graduation Rates Remain One of Top in Nation

The Iowa Department of Education today released the Class of 2008 graduation rates. Statewide the graduation rate for 2008 is 88.7 percent. Iowa continues to have one of the highest graduate rates in the nation. The dropout rate is less than 3 percent.

Iowa Awarded $8.8 million for Education Data System

The Iowa Department of Education will receive an $8.8 million Statewide Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) Grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences. The grant is for five years.
