PATRICIA HARPER
Patricia Harper graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1954 and received a Masters degree from UNI in 1961. She was a classroom teacher of mathematics and science at the secondary level for thirty years and retired in 1986 to enter politics. She was a state representative from 1987 to 1990 and 1993 to 1996. She was a state senator from 1997 to 2002. Now retired, she volunteers for many community organizations in Waterloo. She has one daughter, Susan, and two grandchildren.
