BETSY ROE

Betsy L. Roe is an attorney who currently serves as a consultant and ambassador for Central College in Pella, Iowa. Ms. Roe served as a corporate lawyer with the Wall Street law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell (1986-1991), as a White House Fellow and political appointee in the first Bush White House (1991-1993), and as federal regulatory counsel for Bell Atlantic (1993-1998). Ms. Roe currently serves as a Director of the Marion County State Bank in Pella, Iowa. Ms. Roe received her B.A. degree from The Johns Hopkins University in 1979, a B.A./M.A. degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford University in England in 1982 as a Rhodes Scholar, and her J.D. degree from the Yale Law School in 1984. She resides in Pella with her husband, David, who is the President of Central College, and their twin daughters.
