Executive Branch Lobbying Forms
Effective Now all Executive Branch Lobbyists and Clients file electronically with the General Assembly only. That report information is provided to the Board.
Lobbyist Registration
- This form is used to register as a lobbyist in the Executive Branch. It must be filed before any lobbying occurs. A new registration must be filed each calendar year. See Iowa Code section 68B.36 and rule 351 – 8.7. This form must be filed electronically with the General Assembly.
Amendment to Lobbyist Registration
- This form is used to change information originally provided on the lobbyist registration for the Executive Branch. See Iowa Code section 68B.36 and rule 351 – 8.7(5). This form must be filed electronically with the General Assembly.
Function Pre-Registration
- This form must be filed electronically 5 days before function with the General Assembly who then provides electronic notice of the filing with the Board.
Function Report
- This form must be filed by the sponsor of a function during the regular legislative session when all 150 legislators are invited and the gift law does not apply. The form must be filed within 28 business days of the function date with the legislative branch who then electronically provides notice of the filing with the Board. See Iowa Code section 68B.22(4)"s." This form must be filed electronically with the General Assembly.
Clients
Lobbyist Client Report
- This report must be filed by the lobbyist's client annually by July 31. The covered period is July 1 of the preceding year through June 30 of the current year. See Iowa Code section 68B. 38 and rule 351-8.9. This form must be filed electronically with the General Assembly.
