TOP 10 WAYS TO GET A LOBBYING VIOLATION

1. Filing a lobbyist or client report late.
   
   
2. Failing to file a lobbyist registration statement before engaging in lobbying activities.
   
   
3. Making a campaign contribution to an elected state official or candidate for state office during the regular legislative session (30 days after session to the Governor or gubernatorial candidates).
   
   
4. Failing to fill out entire report or failing to properly disclose information on a report.
   
   
5. Accepting a contingency fee (including bonuses) to lobby.
   
   
6. Trying to file for an exemption from reporting when not qualified (see rule 351 IAC 8.8(5)).
