To sit for
the examination
- No residency requirement
- Establish an NCARB
(National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) Council Record
that includes a professional
architecture degree from a college or university accredited by the
National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
NCARB
will......
- Notify the examination
administrator (Prometric) the candidate is eligible to sit for the
examination.
- Notify the Board that the
candidate has been approved to sit for the examination.
Prometric
will.....
- Notify the candidate
regarding procedures to schedule the examination and the candidate
will then be able to begin taking the examination. Fees for
examination are paid directly to Prometric. Scores are sent to
NCARB; NCARB will forward the scores to the candidate.
- Address changes should be
made by contacting NCARB or Prometric directly.
BEFORE YOUR
APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION with
the Iowa
Board WILL BE APPROVED:

Complete the Intern Development program
administered by NCARB

Pass all sections of the A.R.E.
NCARB will.....
- Notify the Board office
that the candidate is eligible for registration.
The Board
will.....
- Send applications
for registration to the candidate. Upon receipt of the completed
form and payment of the appropriate fee, the registration will be
issued.
