Examination applicants with a
Non-ABET degree or a degree received from an institution located
outside the boundaries of the United States of America:
Fundamentals of Engineering applications must be sent to the Iowa
Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board, and must be
postmarked by January 15 for the April examinations and
by July 15 for
the October examinations. Application and forms available
below on this page of the web site.
All
Land
Surveying
examination applications and
Principles and Practice of Engineering
examination applications must be sent directly to the Board, and must be
postmarked on or before for the
April examinations and on or before for the October examinations.
Additional examination information can be found elsewhere on this
web site.
If you are a
Senior Student in an ABET engineering program or an individual who
has completed an ABET accredited engineering degree: Fundamentals of Engineering applications must be sent directly to
NCEES and are due on February 1 for pre-approval for the
April examinations and August 1 for pre-approval for the October examinations.
Applications will be available on-line at
http://www.ncees.org.

Comity applicants
submit at least 1 PE reference in accordance with 193C 4.2(1),
who can verify 4 years of experience.

PE examination applicants
submit at least 5 references form
who can verify 4 years of supervised experience. Three of
whom are licensed professional engineers.
FE examination applicants with an
experience requirement will need 1 copy of the reference form.
