Postcard renewal
reminders are mailed in mid-November and are due on or before
December 31.
The
opportunity to renew your professional engineering or land surveying
license on-line is available from approximately mid-November through January
30 at
www.licensediniowa.gov.
Renewals submitted January 1 through January 30 of the renewal
biennium must also include a $25
late fee. After January 30 the license is considered to
lapse and licensee must submit written request for reinstatement by
submitting the
Reinstatement Request Form.
Biennial
Renewal Fee is $100 (active) $40 (inactive).
You must meet your PDH requirement
to renew your license to active status. Refer
to 193C IAC Chapter 7 for professional development requirements
for renewal of licensure. If you do not meet PDH
requirements, refer to 193C IAC 3.4(9) and (10).
Continuing
education reported on the renewal form is subject to compliance
review. If chosen for compliance review, the licensee must furnish:
- Proof
of attendance
- Verification
of hours claimed
- Information
about the course content
These
items can be but are not limited to certificates, attendance
rosters, or letters from the host of the event. Receipts for
registration or hotel reservations do not provide evidence of
attendance.
Licensees
must keep the above information on file for a minimum of three years.
