July 9, 1997--MINUTES

Present: Chair Russ Nading, Terry Rogers, and Evelyn Rank by telephone. Mark Odden was excused.

Others present: Roger Halvorson, Administrator; Roger Hansen, Executive Secretary; Pam Griebel, Assistant Attorney General; Susan Griffel, Michael Sharp, and Chris Wood, Secretary.

The meeting was called to order by Nading at 3:00 p.m.

Rank moved, seconded by Rogers that the Commission enter into closed session pursuant to Iowa Code section 21.5(1)(d)(f).

Roll call vote as follows: Rank, aye; Rogers, aye, and Nading, aye. Motion carried.

The closed session was tape recorded and minutes were recorded. The Commission entered into closed session at 3:03 p.m. and arose therefrom at 3:07 p.m.

Rank moved, seconded by Rogers to close the following complaint cases:

97-036 97-037 97-023 97-032 97-038
97-057 97-012
and find probable cause on Case 97-035.

Motion carried unanimously.

Rogers moved, seconded by Rank to approve the minutes of June 5, 1997 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

The August 20, 1997 Investigative Committee will be Loffredo, Rank and Nading. Mark reported he would not be available for the September meeting.

Rogers moved, seconded by Rank to deny the request for a waiver for Ann M. Powers. Motion carried unanimously.

Rogers moved, seconded by Rank to pay perdiem for Russ Nading while attending an ARELLO Strategic Planning meeting in Denver. Motion carried unanimously.

Halvorson handed out the first issue of the new Newsletter published by the Division.

Griffel reported the PSI contract has been signed for a three year period with no raise in rates.

Rank moved, seconded by Rogers to accept the following timeshare and subdivided land filings:

Rank moved, seconded by Rogers to adjourn the meeting at 3:15 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
