Russ Nading, Evelyn Rank, Barbara Leestamper and Robert Miller.

Director; Frank Hansen, Field Auditor; Sandy Malek, staff.
The meeting was
called to order by Nading at 9:03 a.m.
The new members,
Leestamper and Miller were introduced and welcomed. Griebel explained confidentiality
and the gift law.
Griebel discussed
the Supreme Court’s task force that is studying the differences of
the practice of law and the practice of real estate.
Rank moved, seconded
by Leestamper, that the Commission enter into closed session pursuant to
Iowa Code section 21.5(1)(d) and Iowa Code 21.5(1)(f). Roll call vote as
follows: Nading, aye; Rank, aye; Leestamper, aye: Miller, aye. Motion carried.
The closed session was tape recorded and minutes were recorded. The Commission
entered into closed session at 9:55 a.m. and arose therefrom at 10:13 a.m..
Recommendations from the Complaint Committee were discussed.

by Leestamper, to close cases: 98-093; 98-094; 98-082; 98-083;98-084; 98-060;
98-099; 99-024; 99-015; 99-016; 99-008; 99-009; 99-017;99-101; 99-026; 99-025.
Motion carried.
Rank moved, seconded
by Leestamper, to find probable cause in cases 99-023 and 99-014. Motion
carried.
Rank moved, seconded
by Nading, to approve the minutes of the April 22, 1999 meeting. Motion carried.
The schedule of
meetings through the end of 1999 was discussed. The July 8th meeting was
changed to July 1. The Investigative Committee for June 30, 1999 is Nading
and Rogers.
Roger Hansen discussed
Administrative Rules relating to the new Administrative Procedures Act. Leestamper
moved, seconded by Rank, to accept these rules. Motion carried.
Frank Hansen distributed
an audit report and reported of the 46 audits there were 30 with no violations.
Griffel reported
she is planning another instructor development workshop in the fall. Griffel
is rewriting rules for getting courses approved.
