Food Safety Inspection Programs in Iowa

Food safety inspections, foodborne illness and complaint investigations are conducted by state employees working for the Food and Consumer Safety Bureau, as well as inspectors working for local health departments under contract to the Department of Inspections and Appeals.

If you have questions about food establishments, inspections, or licensing, please contact the regulatory authority responsible for administrating the food safety program in your area.
