ATTENTION Advanced Practice Nurses:
The Iowa Board of Nursing is seeking licensed advanced practice nurses to serve on peer review committees in the following specialty areas: Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Women's Healthcare Practitioner, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Specialist Adult Psych. An availability commitment for up to three (3) years is preferred.
Iowa Code/Nursing Board rules authorize the Board to establish peer review committees to assist with the investigative process when deemed necessary. The purpose of creating a pool would be to identify practitioners willing to serve as committee members should the Board require their expertise during the course of an investigtion. The committee would help determine if the conduct of a licensee conforms to the minimum standards of practice. Participants submit a report of their findings to the Board following review of investigative information.

ATTENTION: COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED
The Board has voted to establish a five-member committee with the charge to review and revise the current IBON Intravenous Therapy Certification Course to represent current nursing practice. Nominations are being sought to fill the following positions on that committee:
2 Intravenous Course Instructors
1 Practicing LPN, who is certified in expanded IV Therapy
1 Director on Nursing, of a facility where LPNs are working in the expanded IV therapy role
1 Infusion nurse
