Our Question to Tax Practitioners
What information would you like to see added to IDR's Web site?
We completed the following in 2008:
- A list of common income tax filing issues is available.
- Additional fillable forms were created: Cigarette/Tobacco Surety Bond (pdf); Cigarette Brand Specific Report (pdf); and Contractor’s Statement (pdf).
- A What’s New section was created for income tax law changes.
- An e-mail is sent to tax professionals when the Legislative Summary is complete. Subscribe on our eLists system to receive these free notices.
- For those located out-of-state and unable to attend an eFile & Pay presentation, a DVD was created. To receive e-mail reminders of IDR classes, sign up to receive eLists.
We completed the following in 2009:
- A new Iowa Tax Research Library was installed.
- With the new Web site design, a direct link to forms is located on the home page under the Tax Professional category.
- For those unable to attend an income tax update class, the PowerPoint presentation was posted to the Web site.
- The direct telephone number to ACH Credit was listed on the Call Us Web page.
- A Web page was added to explain what to do when you have a balance due and can’t pay in full by the due date.
- A link to the Secretary of State was added on the Businesses main menu.
- A direct link to the IRS Web site was added to our federal information page.
