You must file both federal and Iowa at the same time. If 20 years old or younger: Free Federal and Iowa or Free Federal Free State if AGI $20,000 or less Qualify for the EITC, or AGI of $30,000 or less, or Active Duty Military including Reservists and National Guard with a military W2 and AGI of $56,000 or less Household income less than $56,000 and one of the following: Age 25 or younger, or Age 65 or older, or AGI less than $10,000, or Qualify for EITC, or Active Duty Military including reservists, National Guard, and Coast Guard (must have an active EIN to file free) Under the rules of Free File governed by the IRS, no cross-selling or marketing of any ancillary services (including RALs – refund anticipation loans) is permitted in Free File. |
