We have added a filter to the 2006 sales (Excel) eliminating inactive sales. My miss, I wasn't aware we had a status of inactive. It did impact the median on a few counties. Attached is a GIS map of median ratios (pdf). The purpose was to see trends by area of the state. No particular trend is obvious from the map. The map shows those counties with no sales in the under 70% group, it should have been no indication. The overall median ratio of sales is about 89% and the median of the assessment jurisdiction median ratios is 86.6%. Jurisdiction median ratios are a moving target but it is certain commercial assessments will be higher in 2007 overall. The remainder of the 2006 DOVs have been processed and sent for data entry but are in line with income tax returns, the final sales reports should be mailed within the month.

Revenue will be meeting with the IDR New Manual Committee next week and the Equalization Committee soon.
