Celebrate 30 years of VSA arts of Iowa with us! VOLUNTEER at the Iowa State Fair! SOUNDS LIKE FUN!!
WHO IS VSA arts of Iowa? Statewide organization with an exclusive dedication to arts education and disability awareness
WHAT IS THIS FESTIVAL? 11 days of performances, entertainment, visual arts exhibit,artist demonstrations, art under the tent, face painting, a carnival, and ballloon sculptures, too! The time is approaching!
DATES: AUGUST 7- 17, 2008. We need over 250 volunteers to make this festival happen. We couldn't do it without you!
1. ART EXHIBIT AND ARTIST DEMONSTRATIONS
LOCATION: Cultural Center
EVERYDAY- 2 shifts: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm Duties include: Greet visitors that tour the exhibit, talk about VSA arts of Iowa, hand out information, assist demonstrating artists with materials, help the artists load and unload, and sell VSAI goods
2. VSA arts CARNIVAL
LOCATION: Fun Forest Grounds
EVERY DAY- 12:30 - 4:30 pm
Five Different Carnival-Art activities and games. Duties include: selling tickets, working the games and interacting with children.
ALL VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE:
* One admission ticket to the fair
*One amazing parking pass
* One food ticket for some good 'ole fair food
*Plethora of ice cold water
* VSAI Fair T-shirt
* VSAI Festival Button ....and the satisfaction of knowing that you're doing a great thing!
