State Interagency Missouri River Authority (SIMRA) Meeting

The meeting of the State Interagency Missouri River Authority will focus on the Iowa watershed approach which provides nearly $100 million to improve rural watershed resiliency through adopting conservation practices that reduce peak stream flow and improve water quality. Speakers will share experiences in the East and West Nishnabotna watersheds.  Updates on the Missouri River watershed and basin conditions, and the Missouri River recovery program are also on the agenda.

SIMRA includes representatives from the Governor’s Office, Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, the Iowa Utilities Board, the Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa Department of Natural Resources and Iowa Department of Transportation.
