Tour Cancelled; Environmental Protection Commission Meeting - Conference Call

Date:
Tuesday, May 23, 2017

The Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) has cancelled a pre-meeting educational tour in Clayton County. Instead commissioners will be meeting by teleconference call. Commissioners will swear in new commissioners, elect officers and consider adjusting the air quality emissions fee. The meeting is open to the public. Due to teleconference logistics, public comments will be accepted on the air quality fee schedule only.  Please contact Jerah Sheets by mail or email, Jerah.Sheets@dnr.iowa.gov, before the meeting. To call in to the teleconference, dial 866-685-1580, then dial the conference code of 4510673319 when prompted. More information on the agenda and air quality emissions fees are available on the website.

The EPC is a panel of nine citizens who provide policy oversight on Iowa's environmental protection efforts. Commissioners usually meet the third Tuesday of each month starting at 10 a.m. in Windsor Heights. However, they sometimes meet in other locations in the state. The meetings are open to the public and there is an opportunity for public comment following the monthly reports.
