If you’re a low income Iowan over the age of 65 or a disabled adult you may be eligible for a partial reimbursement of your rent.  

How Do I Get Family Investment Program (FIP) benefits?

Explanation

The Family Investment Program (FIP) provides cash assistance to income-eligible families, with children, as they become self-supporting.

You can apply for FIP benefits in two ways; online and by paper application.

 

 

How Do I Get Children’s Health Insurance?

Explanation

The State provides low-cost health coverage to children in families that earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid.  The program is called Healthy And Well Kids in Iowa program (Hawki).

How Do I Apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)?

Explanation

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides benefits to supplement the food budget of income-eligible families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency. 

How Do I Check the Status of a Child Support Case?

You can check the status of your case or access your case information online, by phone with the automated information line, or by contacting your case manager by phone or email.

 

How Do I Apply to Receive Child Support?

Explanation

Iowa Child Support can help you get child support and medical support. We can establish paternity, establish support orders, locate parents and their employers, modify, suspend and enforce child support.

How Do I Apply for Child Care Assistance ?

Explanation

Child Care Assistance (CCA) is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities.  Assistance may also be available for a limited period of time to the child
